Convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Group, Oby Ezekwesili has debunked reports making rounds that President Muhammadu Buhari stormed out of a meeting with the parents of the missing Chibok girls yesterday, January 14.
Parents of the missing Chibok school girls marched to the Presidential Villa in Abuja to protest the whereabouts of their children who were abducted since April 2014.
The meeting which held at the state house was attended by the minister of defence, Mansur Mohammed Dan Ali, the minister of
women affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan, the chief of defence staff, Gen Gabriel Olonisakin, the chief of army staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, and the national security adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd).

It’s been over a year, precisely 641 days since the Chibok girls were abducted from their school by the dreaded Boko Haram sect. Though some managed to escape, others are still in captivity. Buhari has said he has no knowledge of the whereabouts of the girls.
He has however, ordered a fresh investigation into the abduction of the girls. The panel that will investigate the incident is to be named by the national security adviser (NSA) General Babagana Munguno and they will be tasked with uncovering the remote and immediate circumstances that led to the abduction.
