Odo-Ona River In Ibadan And Its Yet Another "Victim"

Odo-Ona river located in Odo-Ona, a small community in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state, practically claimed another “victim” on one of the last days of year 2015.
At the end of 2015 the river, notorious for the number of victims it claims at the time of floods or accidentially, nearly consumed a trailer that plunged into it; however, the latter was luckily held back by the palm trees clustered together at the top of the river bank. The trailer was eventually dragged out after almost three hours of intensive work.

The local people state that the Odo-Ona river has been a
deathtrap for a long time already as strange things  with frightening frequency since 1980s. Vehicles and individuals unlucky enough to fall in the Odo-Ona have practically no chances of being rescued because of the volume of water in the river. Today the river banks are a no-go area both for children and adults.
