Kunle Afolayan previews ‘The CEO’ for fans: “Something new is about to happen to African cinema.”

Yesterday, Kunle Afolayan surprised his fans with exclusive clips of his forthcoming movie, ‘The CEO’, whose trailer is yet to be released.

“Out of excitement, I decided to share a few Exclusive clip from The CEO movie(sic),” he wrote. “The full trailer coming end of the month.” And then he added in another post, “Something new is about to happen to African cinema.”

The multi award-winning director Kunle Afolayan concluded the shooting of ‘The CEO’ last October. This film tells the story of  a company – TransWire Communications – whose CEO nominates five employees for a leadership programme. The most impressive eventually replaces him as the new CEO.

Shot at different locations across the world; Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ivory Coast and France, the film features actors like Hilda Dokubo, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Jimmy Jean Louis, Nico Panagio, Jomo Wangai, Wale Ojo and Grammy award-winning singer Angelique Kidjo.
