Gut-wrenching: Newborn found dumped in a bush in Ghana, her lips sealed with super glue

Many times we have read stories of infants discarded in open sewers or hurled out of buildings by mentally challenged mothers, and this one is yet, another gut wrenching story.
In the city of Duayaw Nkwanta in the Brong Ahafo Region in Ghana, a newborn baby girl was found wrapped in a cloth and dumped in the bush near the community’s high school, Serwah Kese. She was found by passersby, her lips sealed shut with super glue.

Fortunately, the baby was still alive and was rushed to the nearby Duayaw Nkwanta Department of Social Welfare, before the welfare staff transported the child to a nearby hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Modern Ghana confirms that the mother of the child is yet to be identified, but that the Ghanaian police have started an investigation to find her.
