Arsene Wenger recommends Warri Wolves’ Austin Amutu to French Club Angers
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has recommended talented Warri Wolves forward, Austin Amutu, to French Ligue 1 side Angers SCO. The 22-year-old is currently contracted to Israel Premier League side Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona, but he will likely be on the move to the French team, which is currently third in the French top-flight with 31 points from 19 matches.
According to reports, Angers have already made arrangements for Amutu’s transfer and have even completed the application for a visa for the him, following Wenger’s endorsement of the player. However, Amutu, who recently finished a loan spell in Malaysia, revealed last week that he has already signed his contract for Kiryat Shmona which lasts till the end of the season.
Austin Amutu was also invited to play with Nigerian U23 Dream team in Rio for the Olympics this year.
