VP Osinbajo and wife visit baby Aisha, Boko Haram survivor, after surgery
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and wife, today, paid a visit to Aisha, a little girl who survived an attack by terrorist group, Boko Haram, on her family home in a village near Maiduguri, capital of Borno state earlier this year.
Following the attack by Boko Haram, Aisha suffered major burns all over her body and needed re-constructive surgery. Vice President Osinbajo who visited Maiduguri shortly after the attack, promised that the federal government would pay attention to Aisha’s health.
On Saturday, United States-based plastic surgeon, Professor Ferdinand Ofodile led a medical team that performed the first phase of the re-constructive surgery at the National Hospital in Abuja.
On Sunday, Prof Osinbajo and wife Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, paid a visit to Aisha at the hospital where she is presently recuperating.
