PRESS RELEASE: MAKA IN CONCERT 16 -04 -16 AT FREEDOM PARK, LAGOS ISLAND

Eclectic, Afro-soul singer MAKA, hailed by ardent rapper, Naeto C as the next big thing, and Africa’s Lauryn Hill’, is set to release her official Extended Play Album titled ‘The Truth’ in collaboration with world renowned DJ cum producer Teck-Zilla. Not unlike Kanye West’s latest album Life of Pablo, the 7 track ‘ The Truth’ Album has also been a living, breathing, changing, creative expression freshly inspired by the freestyle, feel good song ‪#‎FMH‬ reeled off and mixed with 80s disco beats and contemporary keys, applauding the strength within the human soul while trying to stay high and happy as the push through the usual human struggles takes its toll.

The smooth flow and soul bond generated during the production of the album with songs bordering between fiction and non-fictional events led to the title of this out and out piece, the final compilation producing good music – full of love song stories such as; Circle, a trance based lover’s dilemma rendition; Forever, eulogizing a lover’s plea of letting it last forever; Good time, outta space is not half as far for a lover’s groove; Mu Na Gi, a soft-full, soulful ballad and introducing a praise banter and expressions of satisfaction in being part of the city hustle in an inspirational single titled, Lagos.

For the release of this distinctive album, MAKA will be in concert on the 16th of April 2016 at the Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos by 6pm with a Red carpet starting at 5pm.
Officially, MAKA’s musical career began 1st of August, 2015 with a live social media campaign titled ‪#‎MakaIsComing‬ to enable fans across the world experience ‘Her Royal Awesomeness’ in all of her glory with two singles (OH! Take It Away and Ife)
