Weekly Rumours: See The Latest News From January Transfer Market
Here are the main weekly news about football transfers.
1. Next club for Messi? He will end his career with Barcelona!
The owner of five Ballon D’Or titles said: “I want to keep succeeding with the club. Now is not the time to think about whether this is (my) peak. It’s more important that we keep trying to win, that we work hard. It’s a lot to think about. I’ve always said that (I can’t leave Barcelona). It’s always my response. I want to finish my career at home. My home is Barcelona. Football changes so much. A year ago, we were all getting criticised and we ended up winning nearly everything. My intention is to terminate my career where it started, in Barcelona.”
According to L’Equipe, BPL clubs were after the 28-year-old in the summer but their approaches were rebuffed by PSG. The rumours say that the forward has reportedly fallen out with manager Laurent Blanc and could leave Paris Saint-Germain during the current transfer window.
3. Top clubs should forget Borussia Dortmund talent Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Hans-Joachim Watzke, the CEO of the club, said: “I can rule out transfer of any of our top performers now. That’s definitely not on our agenda. Every week there is some nonsense [in the press]. Gundogan and Hummels, they were supposed to be gone last season. This will start all over again.”
Arsenal have reportedly launched a £44.6million transfer bid for the 2015 African footballer of the year Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
