Suspected Cultist Confesses To Killing 15 In Attacks

Kazeem Tiamiyu, a suspected notorious cultist has confessed to killing at least 15 persons in different cult clashes in ijebu-Ode and other areas of Ogun state.
Premium Times reports that the suspect, popularly known as ‘bucher’ by cult members confessed to the killings at Eleweran police headquarters in Abeokuta on Monday, January 11. He gave some of the names of the people he killed as as Solar, Sappio, Odunalayo, Akeem, Folly, Ade, Ayokun, Seun and Bisi.

He confessed that his gang killed Tola Okunneye, a vigilante group leader about a year ago at a church service in Ijebu-Igbo.


He said as part of their cult rite, they mutilated the year of the security chief.
He said: “I was not part of that operation, but was led by Femi. After the killing, one of the victim’s ears was cut off.
“The gang later converged on our hideout, where we used the ear to take oath of secrecy.”
Tiamiyu said the vigilante chief was killed because he stood his ground and that he regretted his actions.
The state police public relations officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said the suspect was apprehended at No. 9 Oreagba Street in Ijebu-Ode and that he was a member of Aje confraternity.

He disclosed that items seized from the suspects included four single-barrelled short guns, seven rounds of live cartridges, expended cartridge and assorted charms and promised that he would be duly charged to court after investigations.
