David Bowie has died of cancer, aged 69, a rep confirms
David Bowie has died aged 69.
The legendary singer’s death was confirmed by a rep on his website, detailing that he was battling cancer for a year and a half.
‘David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer,’ the website said.
‘While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.’
The tragic news was thought by many at first thought to be the work of a hacker.
