Now you can ‘Netflix and Chill’ in Nigeria as streaming services launches today

Today, popular American subscription-based internet streaming media service provider kicked off services in countries in Africa, including Nigeria, as part of their plan to dominate streaming services across the world.

Ventures Africa reports that the subscription video on demand (SVoD) has been successful in the Americas, but there are doubts that it may be so here as data services are still terribly poor in Nigeria, plus the high cost of mobile data for video streaming.
However, Netflix will gain a large audience as they are famous for the original programmes streamed on their site. They may possibly beat Multichoice’s digital service which dominates as the leading satellite TV on the continent because of recent complaints from DSTV customers triggered by the increase in monthly charges.
Ventures Africa confirms that Kunle Afoloyan’s October 1 movie is among the original movie slotted for streaming on the site in Nigeria.
Now, we can’t wait to ‘Netflix and Chill!’
