Famed for its penchant for all things batik and tye dye, I came across this Eponymous womenswear label at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week in 2012 and since then the label has been a favorite to a handful of socialites and celebrities.
For Resort 2016, the label was inspired by the 1950’s renaissance paintings and artworks of famous painters and translated using her fabrics as a canvass to explore the art of colour while creating mood.
Regardless of its very simple take on design, I absolutely appreciate how this resort collection incorporates very recent trends, ranging from cut-out-sleeves to ruffles and flared pants into its very commercial-friendly lineup of ready-to-wear garments.
Amede, for this season, definitely reached out to the woman who has a love for the arts, especially the art created by colour.
