Record sales are important for every artiste but statistics have shown that the big bucks actually come from tours and endorsements.
This is the reason Katy Perry earned a whopping $135 million in the last one year from tours and endorsement deals.
Adele might be breaking all the records there are in the world today with Hello. Also, she might have broken Taylor Swift’s record for Bad Blood on Vevo but as far as earnings are concerned tours are everything.
This is what informs Adele’s decision of a 40-day tour planned for May, 2016. And if this works out, she could land herself in next year’s top earners’ list.
Jay Z and Beyonce were also displaced on the top, as highest-earning couple, as Taylor Swift and her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris made $146 million from endorsements and live performances to seal the number one spot as a couple.
