Mikel Obi Makes 800 Million Naira From Advert

Chelsea and Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi has earned a mouth watering N800 million from a commercial aired in Nigeria.

 According to a source who spoke to africanfootball.com said  Mikel Obi earned the huge sum from an Amstel Malta advert.

The source said: “Mikel hit it rich with the Amstel Malta advert as he will pocket about 800 million Naira over a number of years.

“Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, who also did another Amstel commercial, will pocket about half that amount.”

The Amstel commercial was a story of Mikel Obi’s rags-to-riches career; from playing on the streets of Jos to the the English Premier League giants Chelsea.

The commercial also showed Mikel playing for the Super Eagles at the World Cup and flying a private jet on his many travels.

Mikel Obi recently played his 350th game for Chelsea in the goalless draw with Manchester United on Monday night.
