West Brom winger James McClean has described Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, as a “a bit of an idiot” for failing to shake hands with his manager, Tony Pulis after the emotionally charged 2-2 draw between the English Premiership sides on Sunday.
Klopp had several confrontations with the West Brom bench during the match and snubbed Pulis during the traditional after-match handshake between the coaches of the opposing sides.
When asked by journalists after the match why he had refused to shake hands with Pulis, Klopp responded that it was not a big issue and that because it was not a “friendly game” he didn’t see the need to to shake Pulis’ hand.
He said: “We had some words during the game, sometimes it needs longer than a few seconds to cool down. If you want to make a big story with this, please go ahead. Sometimes with me it is like this, do what you want.
