The world will remember these seven footballers as people who are devoted to sport and their profession.
April 30, 2015 – Gregory Mertens. Age: 24. Club:  Sporting Lokeren.
The Belgian died of heart failure, three days after collapsing during a reserve team match against Genk having never regained consciousness after receiving CPR during the first half.

May 11, 2015 – Tim Nicot. Age: 23. Club: Beerschot-Wilrijk.
Nicot died of heart failure, during a tournament game.

May 14, 2015 – Emanuel Ortega. Age: 21. Club: San Martín de Burzaco.
The player passes away after sustaining fatal head injury during match.

May 24, 2015 – Cristian Gómez. Age: 27. Club: Club Atlético Paraná.
The footballer died of heart failure during a Primera B Nacional match.

June 13, 2015 – David Oniya. Age: 30. Club: T-Team.
Nigerian footballer died in a friendly match in Malaysia.

July 7, 2015 – Junior Dian. Age: 23. Club: Tonbridge Angels.
Collapsed in a pre-season friendly game.

October 15, 2015 – Sergei Filippenkov. Age: 44. Club: FC Zenit Penza.
He died during a friendly match between veteran teams.
