The president’s daughter, Zahra Buhari, has once again reacted to recent report by a Kaduna state based newspaper, that Governor Nasir el-Rufai is set to wed her.

News had gone round in October 2015, that the beautiful daughter of President Buhari would be tying the knot with Kaduna state governor.
However, Zahra granted an interview to The Amba Imprint, where she clarified various rumours about her kicking out a woman from a boutique in Abuja and many more. When she was asked about marriage, she answered by saying: “Maybe I have a potential”.
It however seem that the marriage rumour resurfaced online last week. She took to her Twitter page, notifying her followers by saying: “Just to make this topic clear. I’m NOT married yet, nor am I engaged to anyone. I hope that’s clear enough.”
This is not the first time Nigerians would be reacting to stories of societal weddings. Recently, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, came under harsh criticism following his marriage to the 18-year-old daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa. Responding to the criticism, Sanusi said those who see something filthy about the sacred bond should buy themselves a new brain.
