Eden Hazard reveals more about his football life including his favorite skill to beat players, favorite goal and most skillful teammate ever.
The winger moved to Chelsea from Lille of France in the summer of 2012 and has been the club’s talisman since his arrival. The 24 year old gave some few surprises when he was talking about some of his best things in football.
On his most skill teammate
Hazard AS Roma attacker Gervinho as his most skillful teammate when asked. The two led Lille two a Ligue 1 and cup double in 2011.
Gervinho left Lille for Arsenal in 2011 but left after two years. He scored 36 goals and provided 21 assists in 93 appearances for the French outfit.
“In the national team we have a lot of them: Yannick Carrasco, a young player at Atletico Madrid, Dries Mertens, Kevin De Bruyne, Kevin Mirallas, they are all very good and like to show their skills in matches.”
On his favorite skill
Hazard named the nutmeg as his favorite skill while showing his admiration for Zinedane Zinade’s La Roulette pirouette.
He said: “[My favourite skill is] The nutmeg, which is known as panna in French, and also another skill which [Zinedine] Zidane used to do when he would spin on the ball.
“I still like the nutmeg, Oscar did three at Tottenham on Sunday, it’s a good skill to use.
“When I was in France playing for Lille against Monaco, I was on the wing and beat a few defenders with some skills. Against Southampton at home last season I did two nutmegs.”
On the favorite goal he ever scored
The Belgium alleged that a 35 yard goal with his weaker foot during his time with Lille.
He said: “In my first season against West Ham I scored a good goal and in the same game there was another piece of skill I did. I try to do something in every match. Also at Lille I scored a left-footed goal from about 35 yards against Marseille.”
Chelsea have made an abysmal start to the 2015/2016 season and are currently 14th on the Premier League table. They welcome Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge in their next match.
