Moments ago, at the grand finale of the Miss Universe 2015 competition held in Las Vegas, USA, the host Steve Harvey made a blunder that will go down in history as the most befuddling: he named the wrong woman – Miss Colombia Ariadna Cutierrez – as this year’s winner, before quickly correcting the blunder, announcing the real winner of the competition – Miss Phillippines Pia Wurtzbach.

“I have to apologize,” Harvey said to Miss Colombia who had already donned the Miss Universe crown and sash and even taken her first walk as a queen. “The first runner-up is Colombia.”

And it was a jaw dropping moment, the greatest embarrassment.

Well, here is the winner of the Miss Universe 2015 pageant: Miss Philippines!

This year’s pageant was rocked by a tragedy. One of the 81 participants, Miss Slovenia, was removed from the competition after she suffered a medical episode that left part of her face paralysed.
