Wladimir Klitschko has revealed that he will activate the rematch clause in the fight contract between him and new champion Tyson Fury next year.
British boxer, Fury defeated the Ukrainian on Saturday to win the WBA, IBF and WBO belts. According to latest report, date and venue for the rematch is still yet to be decided after it was included as a clause in the contract fight.
Speaking on the fight and his attempt to reclaim the titles, Klitschko said: “Failure is not an option. I was really frustrated directly after the fight, but after some short nights, I now know that I am much better than my performance on Saturday.”
“I couldn’t show much full potential at any time. This is what I want to change in the rematch, and I will.” he further said.
Wladimir Klitschko was world champion between 2000 and 2003, reclaimed the WBO belt in 2004 and went 11 years before last Saturday’s defeat to Tyson Fury.
