JUST IN! Police Ban All Forms Of Rallies In Bayelsa

The Nigeria Police just released a statement that all forms of professional rally or demonstration have been banned from Bayelsa state.
OUR correspondent on ground in the state reports that the police got information that some disgruntled elements are planning to carry out illegal demonstrations after the announcement of the election’s results.
DIG Hashimu Argungu in a statement made available to our correspondent on Monday, December 7, 2015, stated: “This form of conduct will jeopardise the ongoing electoral process. Therefore, the command warns ‎the intending perpetrators to desist from such acts as it will deal decisively with any person or group of persons who wishes to engage in any conduct that will compromise the existing peaceful atmosphere.
“Members of the public are advised to go about normal business, as security agencies are poised to guarantee the safety of lives and properties.”
