Nigerian troops yesterday succeeded in clearing terrorists out of Madagali, said to be the last place held by the terrorists in Adamawa State.
Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade, who had been on a tour mission in the North-East, disclosed that there was no casualties on the side of the Nigerian forces, which included the Army, Air force and other security agencies.
Meanwhile, Olukolade said mopping up is ongoing, as the Defence Headquarters will provide more details.
Also, troops of 33 Brigade Nigerian Army yesterday dislodged and cleared Boko Haram terrorists from Lame/Burra forest in Ningi and Torro Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.
During the operation, which started last weekend, quite a number of terrorists were killed and their weapons and equipment destroyed.
Similarly, a sizeable number of arms, ammunition, foodstuffs, Hilux vehicles, motorcycles and improvised explosive devices (IED) were recovered by the troops.
