The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, celebrates his 53rd birthday in Ilorin, Kwara state, today. The ‘third citizen’ of Nigeria started his Saturday’s morning with reading of the holy Quran and thanksgiving service.
Later, he was joined by his wife Oluwatoyin, Senator Dino Melaye, Kwara House of Assembly Speaker Dr Ali Ahmad, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state; Alhaji Kawu Baraje; deputy governor of Kwara, Elder Peter Kisra, and Senator Rafiu Ibrahim for the cutting the birthday cake.
“I know we are all feeling the impact of the high exchange rate, youth employment and economic crisis, particularly resulting from the falling price of oil, my only wish today is for 2016 to bring positive developments to the country. With the methodical planning of the Federal Government and our dedication I know it will become a reality.
“I urge everyone to continue to support and pray for the leadership.”
